World Cup Cricket 2007 - Bangladesh vs New Zealand super eight match: Live blogging

Although Bangladesh had beaten New Zealand in a pre-World Cup warm-up match this match will be tough for them as New Zealand will not let an inch to Bangladesh. They have won the toss and put Bangladesh to bat. Bangladesh team has got two changes in the line-up. Javed Omar and Syed Rasel have replaced Shahriar Nafees and Tapash Baisya. Tapas was injured in the last match and Nafees is going through a bad patch.

Let see what Bangladesh can do. Anything over 250 will be a good score to defend.

10 Overs: Bangladesh 27 for no loss. It has been a sedated start for Bangladesh. We are seeing a cooled down Tamim Iqbal and fluent Javed Omar. No risky shots in their innings. Hope they catch up with the run rate as soon as they get settled down. Their opening bowler Mason retired hurt only after a one and half over spell. More worries for New Zealand.

47 Overs: Bangladesh 170/9. Well Bangladesh fade away in the middle stages of the innings. They were 127/4 in 35 Overs. Still one can expect in the last 15 overs at least a hundred run would be scored. But they lost some quick wickets to Styris (4 for 43). and they are struggling to put a decent total on board. Glad I didn't watch it.

Bangladesh is 174 all out in 48.3 overs. A poor show. They are at least 50 runs short of their abilities against this attack.
