Gangnam Invades Dhaka

We live in a connected world and are somewhat influenced by world culture. If you do not agree to this may I dare to give an example of this?

"Gangnam Style" is a K-pop single by Korean musician PSY which was released on July 15, 2012. "Gangnam Style" is a Korean term that refers to a lifestyle associated with the Gangnam district of Seoul, where people are trendy, hip and are of a higher "class".

"Gangnam Style" has managed to catch the attention of media outlets around the world and many celebrities have endorsed it. The music video has also become popular worldwide, with over 295 million views on YouTube as of September 27, 2012. This video was recognized by Guinness World Records as the "Most 'Liked' Video in YouTube History".

And now comes the fun part. Gangnam style flash mobs started become appearing in places around the world. The first such event was held in August 2012 in Pasadena, California, sponsored by the South Korean broadcasting and entertainment company Mnet Media. It soon spread in Sydney, New York, Buenos Aires, Jakarta, Bangkok, Asuncion, Berlin and other cities.

A Gangnam style flash mob also invaded Dhaka recently. It was filmed in front of Wasa building in Karwan Bazar and the video was quickly spread to thousands via Facebook. The video was released by The Project and was edited by Fahad Zaman.

It was really interesting to see how Bangladeshis, in a connected world welcome new cultural elements and can join the fun. What do you think of this video?
